At Hillview Court Nursing Home in Sauchie, we’ve been celebrating one of our amazing care assistants and a very special member of our team, Mary, on her 20-year anniversary working at our home.
Mary is kind-hearted, devoted and always happy to lend a helping hand. Outside of work, she is a keen gardener and avid caravan enthusiast with her husband.
She has been at the heart of Hillview Court for longer than most and her commitment is an inspiration to our team. Her experience is also such an asset, especially for providing guidance to team members who are newer to the role and sharing her wisdom in challenging situations.
On receiving her Long Service award, Mary reflected with us on some of the precious memories that make her role so rewarding for her – “We had a wedding in the home. A resident’s daughter got married in the home so her dad could give her away – it was a lovely day!”
Mary commented that ‘Care from the Heart’ means “ensuring our residents receive the best standard of care. I like listening to residents and supporting my work colleagues.”
On behalf of our team and residents, we’d like to express our gratitude to Mary for her absolute devotion and loyalty to Hillview Court. Two decades is a huge milestone and we are truly lucky to have a care assistant as committed as Mary is.
