Residents and staff at Galsworthy House paid tribute to all nurses and the whole staff team at the home for International Nurses Day.

Celebrated around the world every year on that date – the anniversary of Florence Nightingale’s birth – International Nurses Day is a time to reflect and celebrate the outstanding contribution nursing professionals provide to the health service. After the past year of pandemic, the theme was ‘A vision for future healthcare’, a look into how the nursing profession will transform the next stage of healthcare.

We celebrated by having a celebratory BBQ for all our wonderful nursing team. Home Manager Eva Trochim said, What an amazing day celebrating our amazing superhero nurses. The whole team thoroughly enjoyed honouring this special day which recognised our highly skilled and dedicated teams who consistently go above and beyond to deliver the best possible care to our residents.
