Staff at Frethey House threw themselves into the spirit of World Book Day last week and dressed up as their favourite characters to put a smile on the residents faces. Characters included Snow White and the Mad Hatter! Residents picked out some of their own books and took some time to sit down and lose themselves in literary classics and familiar favourites.
Although World Book Day is aimed at schoolchildren, everyone can benefit from getting involved and taking some well-earned time out to get their nose stuck into a good book! Reading a classic that you haven’t read for years, can transport you back in time and evoke memories that have a calming and relaxing influence on our residents.
Frethey House has 41 bedrooms, with two acres of beautiful gardens to explore and take in the stunning countryside views beyond. The home provides residential and nursing care on a permanent or short stay basis.
