Firtree House helped to raise money for the Fire Fighters Charity through their Fire Family Fundraiser, by selling a selection of handmade gifts and potted plants, having a bake sale and a ‘name the bear’ competition.
Firefighters’ Memorial Day which falls on 4th May, is an important day for all serving and retired firefighters. The day honours the sacrifice of firefighters who have lost their lives in the line of duty, acknowledging the courage and dedication of generations of firefighters, including those who serve our communities today.
As part of the fundraiser event, the staff at Firtree House organised live entertainment, food and drink, a photo prop area and some games with prizes. Small charges applied to those who participated, with all proceeds going to the Fire Fighters Charity. Ice creams were also available to purchase from Amber-Belle Ices.
We would like to thank all those who helped us to raise money on the day and through our fundraising activities in the lead up to the event. We are so pleased to have been able to raise a total of £226 for the Fire Fighter Charity.
