The Dormy House Care Home in Sunningdale team and residents came together to celebrate Care Home Open Week Hawaiian style! Our team spared no effort to transform our garden into a colourful beach party for our residents to enjoy.
Even the unpredictable English weather couldn’t spoil our Hawaiian themed day and although the weather was overcast and breezy, this didn’t dampen our spirits and we brightened the day with flowery outfits, tasty treats and party games galore.
Our residents enjoyed dressing up in colourful garlands and hula skirts and posing behind our hilarious Hawaiian cutouts. There were laughs all around that were only silenced by the delicious food our chef and catering team treated us to. As always, they never disappoint, and everyone loved the fish and chips presented in a classic beach style, with tasty ice cream and fruit mousse to top it off.
A superb day packed with fun and joy, our residents and relatives alike thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
Carmela Magbitang, Home Manager, thanked everyone that made the day so special and presented bouquets of flowers to our Health and Wellbeing team in thanks for all their hard work and passion. At Dormy House, we love brightening up our residents’ days and creating memorable experiences, so we owe a huge thank you to everyone who helped us in making that happen.
