Easter fun day at Dormy House

Last month, Dormy House Care Home in Sunningdale hosted an Easter celebration for their residents and the local community.

A fun-filled day which included stalls, sweet treats, and intergenerational fun. Three local business showcased their wares, including Usbourn Books, offering a selection of children’s books, Forget Me Knot Creations, selling shadow boxes, printed t-shirts and handmade cards, and the third stall was Handmade with Love by Lorna, who sold a wide selection of gifts.

There were many highlights throughout the day, including a visit from the Easter bunny, played by Adam, the son of the home’s Senior Maintenance Officer, Wojciech, who kindly volunteered as part of his Duke of Edinburgh Award. Another highlight was the Easter egg hunt in the home’s garden for the children, which was followed by games with the residents.

The team put on a lovely spread of classic Easter treats, including chocolate eggs and homemade Easter crackle cakes topped with mini eggs.

Community Relations Manager Liz said, “We had a fabulous day, opening up our home to the community to have fun and celebrate Easter. Our residents, relatives, and local families all had a great time together.”
