Our latest events

At Dormy House we understand the importance of supporting residents to maintain links with their local communities. That’s why we play an active part in our community. We hold events throughout the year, and work closely with groups, schools and charities to ensure residents continue to enjoy a rewarding social life, and the chance to make new friends and try new things.

Our aim is to put a focus on the community. We want to boost morale and encourage neighbourly togetherness as well as to improve health and wellbeing in the district. Below are details of our upcoming events:

Craft and Card Making for Grandparents Day
Date: Sunday 21st September
Time: 10am – 12pm

Did you know that it’s Grandparents Day on 5th October?

Join us on Sunday 21st September from 10am – 12pm and get creative with us! We will supply you with all the tools you need to make a small gift and/or card ready to give on the special day.

In the UK, the celebration was founded by the charity Age Concern. It has been celebrated on the first Sunday in October since 2008. Let’s celebrate our grandparents by giving them their time in the spotlight.

Fish and Chip Friday
Date: Last Friday of every month
Time: 12 – 2pm

Join us on the last Friday of each month to enjoy our mouth-watering, freshly cooked battered fish and chips in the comfort of our newly refurbished conservatory.
