“Blooming Lovely”: Dormy House runners up in garden competition

Dormy House Care Home in Sunningdale has been named as a runner up in Aria Care’s summer gardening competition.

Aria Care launched the initiative, Aria in Bloom, last year to create sustainable, welcoming and enjoyable outdoor spaces for their residents.

Dormy House Care Homewas chosen as runner up, earning the home a £100 voucher. Residents, colleagues, and local community joined forces to transform the care home into a vibrant oasis.

The competition was a tremendous success, with all 50 communities participating, creating beautiful, inviting environments for their residents, showcasing truly impressive results.

Dormy House’s garden saw a remarkable transformation through the collective efforts of the team, residents, and local community. New planters and hanging baskets now brighten the space, creating a cheerful atmosphere.

Home Manager Carmela Magbitang expressed her joy, “I can’t thank our residents and team enough for the hard work they have put into this competition. Everyone got so much enjoyment from taking part, it was so lovely to see some of our residents arts and crafts on show in the gardens, which became a real source of pleasure, as the saying goes “Blooming Lovely!”
