Our residents and team at Denham Manor Care Home in Buckinghamshire worked together and got involved in Aria in Bloom to give the gardens and areas at the home a freshen up for their residents.
As we head into the warmer months, it’s the perfect time to get into the garden. At Aria Care we believe in the power of teamwork, which is why we launched our Spring into Summer initiative this May, with a ‘One Team Approach’. We understand the importance of making a great first impression so we rallied our teams to work together and get ready for the summer.
Everyone got involved as they braved the weather and undertook a lot of projects around the grounds including tidying up the flower beds, planting new flowers and plants in beds as well as in pots. Even the furniture got a new coat of paint and a freshen up, along with new heart shaped bird feeders which really do ‘care from the heart’!
There have been some new additions to the gardens including wheelchair accessible fairy gardens which the residents enjoyed helping to make as colourful and eye catching as possible, as well as a herb garden which the hospitality team can’t wait to use.
The transformation of the grounds was amazing, after a very busy day they put on a party to celebrate, including a ribbon cutting by Doug a resident at the home and everyone got the chance to enjoy a well deserved glass of Bucks Fizz after all their hard work!
Aria i Bloom will become a yearly activity that everyone across the company will get involved with, helping our homes prepare for the warmer days ahead. Our residents will then be able to enjoy their outdoor spaces and give them and their visitors a beautiful space to unwind.
