It has been an ‘egg-citing’ week for the residents at Denham Manor care home in Denham with Easter crafts and chocolate eggs galore.
Home Manager Chris said, “To celebrate Easter, we have been getting creative with some artwork and stimulating activities for the residents. We have been experimenting with different crafts, we have a tea party coming up, and if we are lucky the Easter bunny will be here to deliver our residents some Easter eggs at the weekend.
The team at Denham Manor will enjoy some treats too; we would like to say a massive thank you to one of our wonderful family members who donated a beautiful Easter hamper to the staff at Denham Manor.”
The residents enjoyed experimenting with paper crafts and water colouring and enjoyed showing off their creations.
In advance of the Easter break, the team at Denham Manor embraced the excitement of the local youngsters too and visited the local primary school Denham E-Act Academy in Denham Green to donate a selection of chocolate eggs for the school’s Easter competition. They visited the school and met with the head teacher Mrs Kilyan and reception staff. They spoke about arranging events in the future with the school where the home and school can work together.
Mrs Kilyan said ‘Thank you so much for donating, this is lovey for the children. We look forward to working with you in the future.’ Denham Manor has a vibrant network with the local community. If you want to get involved, please do reach out to Chris Ashton our Home Manager.
