The team at Denham Manor Care Home in Denham pulled out all the stops to make sure that one of their residents Pat Garner could attend her grandson’s wedding.
We rallied together to get her hair and nails done for the special occasion to match an outfit that was chosen, plus a kind and caring escort Katrina, Care Home Advanced Practitioner at our home went with her to help make the day special for the whole family.
Her daughter Tracey commented “I just wanted to let you know how wonderful Katrina was on Saturday, when she accompanied Mum to my son’s wedding. She was terrific, we could not have managed without her. She never left Mum’s side and made sure she had everything she needed.”
She went on to say “Katrina is a real credit to Denham Manor, a number of wedding guests remarked on how lovely she was. Mum seemed to have a lovely time, smiling happily, and it was such a relief for us to know she was in safe, friendly hands.”
There was also a special mention for another team member Bliss, Receptionist at Denham Manor who took the time to paint her nails and organise the hairdresser.
Home Manager, Emma Fielder said “it was wonderful that we could make the day so special for Pat and her family, so that they could enjoy the occasion together. Our care at Denham Manor is from the heart and it shows in all that we do.”
