To celebrate National Cinema Day, residents at Denham Manor Nursing Home in Denham sat back and relaxed with an afternoon film.
With popcorn at the ready, they all got cosy in the lounge to watch Gone with the Wind (a firm favourite amongst our residents).
Resident Pat Garner said, “Gone with the Wind is my all-time favorite movie, you don’t have to ask me twice to watch it! It was a lovely afternoon, it felt so cosy and exciting.”
Activities Coordinator Bliss Sprague added, “the residents enjoy films as it takes them back to their younger years when they would watch the same movies in the cinema, so we like to recreate that experience at the home.”
Previous film screenings have included all the classics such as Carry On films, Casablanca, and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers.
