Denham Manor raises money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

On Friday 18th October, the team and residents at Denham Manor Nursing Home in Denham hosted a pink party in support of Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink Day.

Wear It Pink is Breast Cancer Now’s fundraising event where people across the UK wear something pink to raise money for breast cancer research and support.

Organised by Activities Coordinator Bliss, the team ensured the home was given a pink touch by decorating the lounge with bunting and balloons. Joined by relatives, the residents headed to the lounge in their best pink attire where they enjoyed pink cupcakes and had a little singalong with music from their favourite singer Charlotte Donnovan from CnR Music.

Home Manager Chris said, “wow what an amazing way to fundraise for an important charity, we had so much fun.”

Bliss added, “I am so happy we were able to get everyone together to raise money for something so important. We had a good boogie with Charlotte. A day we will never forget.”
