Last month, residents at Deer Park View Care Centre in Teddington enjoyed a visit to Hampton Court Palace to experience its annual Tulip Festival.
The trip was organised by Lead Wellbeing Coordinator Monica, who arranged the outing for residents Lesley and James, accompanied by James’ wife, Mine.
With more than 100,000 tulips in bloom, the festival is one of the UK’s largest tulip displays. The group spent the morning exploring the gardens, admiring the beautiful flowers, and learning about the palace’s rich history.
With Hampton Court Palace being a short distance from the home, the team hopes to make visits to the palace a monthly activity, giving more residents the chance to enjoy this local treasure.
Mine said, “It’s such a magical place. The last time we were here was ages ago, it’s stunning.”
Resident Lesley said, “A perfect morning in a perfect place. Thank you, Monica, for organising.”
