At Deer Park View Care Centre in Teddington, the residents celebrated Afternoon Tea Week by making the most of the glorious summer weather and enjoying tea with a view.
With the help of some family members and the wonderful team, they traded the comfort of their lounge for the beauty of their favourite spot in Bushy Park.
They brought along all the essentials for a traditional afternoon tea, including teapots brimming with their favourite brews, dainty finger sandwiches, and, for a seasonal twist, a homemade peach cake in place of the usual scones.
As they sipped and savoured, they were joined by some of Bushy Park’s most charming residents, such as curious geese, graceful swans, and even a few deer grazing in the distance. The scene felt like something out of a storybook.
Monica Serrano, Lead Wellbeing Coordinator, said, “We believe that life’s sweetest moments are often the simplest, and nothing says ‘simple pleasures’ quite like a cup of tea in good company.”
Sharing tea and laughter in such a beautiful setting, with loved ones by their side, reminded them just how lucky they are. Not only to have Bushy Park as their neighbour, but to be surrounded by such a warm and supportive community.
