Coxhill Manor Launches Jubilee Charity Song

Coxhill Manor Jubilee Garden Party

Residents at Coxhill Manor Care Home have been part of a Jubilee project with the charity ‘Voices of Hope’. They have recorded a song to honour Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee. The song ‘Coming Home’ which features the Coxhill Choir is now available on both Spotify and iTunes.

The Voices of Hope charity was set up to help restore and rebuild hope in individuals. This is achieved by improving physical and mental health through projects in communities. That song along with another written by our own choir ‘Anniversary Song’ were sung at our Jubilee Garden Tea Party, led by our choirmaster Hannah.

Our residents were joined by family and friends to enjoy the singing and partake in an afternoon tea in the gardens. They also enjoyed some music by our visiting harpist Margaret and participated in our Jubilee raffle.

Earlier this year Her Majesty The Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee. This marked her 70 years of service to the people of the United Kingdom, the Realms and the Commonwealth.

To celebrate this unprecedented anniversary, events have been taking place across the country over the four-day bank holiday weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed being part of those celebrations at Coxhill Manor.
