Claydon House Residents Enjoy a Sensory Afternoon!

Sensory lights at Claydon House Care Home

Residents at Claydon House Care Home enjoyed a thoroughly relaxing and calming afternoon of sensory stimulation.

Our residents experienced the wonderful smell of patchouli aromatherapy oil and enjoyed hand massages. They looked at the bubbles and watched the moon dance across the ceiling. All of this whilst listening to some beautiful tongue drumming played by one of our own Wellbeing Team members.

Smells and scents can have several benefits from evoking memories to creating a calming influence. The simple act of a hand massage can also achieve a calming and reassuring effect, just from that physical touch.

Claydon House provides residential, nursing and dementia care on a permanent or short stay basis. If you are looking for a care home and want to find out more about our home call freephone 0808 223 5418
