Cedar View Welcomes Local MP Chris Philp for Care Home Open Week

Care Home Open Week Kicks Off with Visit from Local MP!

As part of Care Home Open Week 2025 (16–22 June), Cedar View Care Centre was delighted to welcome Croydon South’s MP, Chris Philp, for an afternoon of conversation, community, and connection.

Mr Philp joined residents and team members for a relaxed tea and chat session, where he took the time to listen, engage, and learn more about the care we provide every day at Cedar View. The visit offered an opportunity to discuss key topics affecting older people and their families, including dementia support and access to local health services.

Care Home Open Week is a nationwide initiative designed to strengthen links between care homes and their local communities. It provides a meaningful platform to showcase the exceptional care being delivered, celebrate the lives of those who live and work in care, and encourage open conversations about the future of social care.

Mr Philp later shared on social media that he had “accepted an invite today from Cedar View Care Centre in Park Hill to join residents and staff to chat over tea”, highlighting his support for the social care sector and the value of initiatives that bring people together.

The team at Cedar View were proud to take part in this special week, which reflects Aria Care’s commitment to being an integral part of the community and providing a warm, inclusive environment where every individual feels valued.
