Brook House Nursing Home in New Malden has taken part in this month’s Aria in Bloom initiative, transforming its outdoor space with fresh flowers and plants for residents to enjoy.
The garden makeover was a true team effort, with residents helping to choose and plant their favourite blooms. Robert, the Maintenance Manager, and Peter, the Home Manager, prepared the garden grounds and worked alongside residents to bring the vision to life. Together, they arranged flowers and turf to spell out ‘Brook House,’ showcasing their impressive gardening skills.
Residents Joan and Clive were among those who helped plant, with Joan sharing memories of her own gardening days as she worked. The refreshed garden has quickly become a favourite spot for residents to relax and spend time outdoors.
The project highlights the pride residents take in their home and the value of being involved in creative, hands-on activities.
