Every Tuesday morning at Bradbury House Care Home in Braintree, the residents enjoy a morning full of pampering.
Visited by hairdresser Heather, she welcomes them into the hair salon to wash, cut, and style the ladies’ and gents’ hair for them. “The ladies especially enjoy visiting the hair salon, they love having a chat with Heather while she cuts their hair,” said Home Manager Sheree Burleton.
Residents then visit the activities room where Wellbeing Coordinator Laura continues their morning of relaxation. Choosing from a selection of face masks and nail varnishes, the residents enjoy having their nails painted and a sensory hand massage at the end of the treatment.
A couple of our residents commented on the sessions, “I always feel pretty after having my hair and nails done.”, said Babs. Maisie added, “I always look forward to Tuesday’s pamper session.”
Our pamper sessions are always a success with the residents, they promote relaxation and allow them to socialise. The residents had a fantastic time and look forward to their next ‘wellness day’ at the home.
