Aria in Bloom at Bradbury House

This week, residents at Bradbury House have been making the most of the sunny weather by getting out in the garden for this year’s Aria in Bloom.

Earlier in the week, residents and the team visited their local market and garden centre to pick up some new plants and materials. Among their finds was a garden arch, which they plan to grow flowering plants up over the coming months. Residents Raymond and Jerry also lent a hand painting the benches to freshen up the space.

Today, wellbeing coordinator Laura joined residents John, Jerry, and new resident Shirley in the garden. Shirley only just moved in today but is already enjoying getting involved. She joked, “I’ve only just moved in and they’ve already put me to work!”

As well as their flower beds, the garden also includes a herb patch, where residents are growing mint, thyme and chives. Pam and Stacy from the hospitality team plan to use the home-grown herbs in some of their upcoming meals.

It’s been a great team effort, and a lovely way for everyone to welcome the spring season and add even more colour to their outdoor space!
