Cheers to Nutrition and Hydration Week at Belmont House

Belmont House Nutrition and Hydration Week

The residents and colleagues at Belmont House Nursing Home in Sutton enjoyed celebrating Nutrition and Hydration week with various themed days and holding their first Open Day on Saturday 16th March which the local community were invited to come along to.

Throughout the week everyone got involved highlighting the importance of nutrition and hydration for the people living in our community with creative food and drinks.

On Thirsty Thursday we had a hydration trolley which was taken around the home offering a selection of fruity drinks, including fruit infused waters and smoothies. Our hospitality team then put together some tasty treats including fruit salads, trifle and afternoon tea for all to enjoy and we didn’t need to be asked twice!

The week finished with our open day where we were joined by friends, family and the local community who took the opportunity to come and meet our residents and colleagues and take a look around our home. Our hospitality team created a delicious spread of food both savoury and sweet which were served along with tea, coffee and refreshments.

“We were thrilled to welcome the community to our home. These events were not only an excellent opportunity for individuals to witness the exceptional care we provide but also to join us in celebrating Nutrition and Hydration Week,” said Arthur Tanare, home manager.
