Care Home Open Week at Belmont House

Belmont House Care Home Open Week Colin Stears with resident

Belmont House Nursing Home in Sutton celebrated Care Home Open Week in style and the community came together for a fantastic week full of fun activities and great music, with a visit from the London Borough of Sutton Councillor Colin Stears who made a heartwarming speech thanking everyone for attending and congratulating the team on their strong sense of community, compassion and kindness.

The talented Everly Others entertained with a medley of great hits from all genres with everyone dancing and singing along and the Mayor was soon on the dance floor showing off his moves. The colleagues also joined in and showed that they too had all the moves!

We were also absolutely delighted to have the kids of Devonshire Primary School Choir put on a moving performance, singing their hearts out for our residents, guests and Belmont Team. It was wonderful to see such a range of different ages coming together to enjoy music and have a great laugh together.

The chef and hospitality team also spoilt us with a mouth-watering BBQ, serving a generous selection of burgers, kebabs and tasty side dishes, and to top it off, the sun was shining for the perfect BBQ weather.

The start of Care Home Open Week was fantastic and definitely a hard act to follow. At Belmont House, bringing the community together to connect with our residents is extremely important to us. Therefore, we want to thank the Mayor, the entertainers and the community for joining us to create a very special day.
