Belmont House Care Home organised a wonderful surprise for one of their residents this month. Celine dreamt of being with her daughter Liane on her wedding day, but unfortunately due to her condition she could not take part fully in the wedding.
Our team at Belmont House decided to make Liane and Stevens’ special day as inclusive as it could possibly be for Celine. We helped Liane get ready for her big day, by letting her use our hair salon for her hair and makeup and a dressing room to change into her beautiful wedding gown.
We managed to keep this a secret from Celine and when she saw Liane in her wedding gown it was a truly magical moment. We also decorated a part of the reception area where a professional photographer was able to take some really lovely photographs of the family.
We helped Celine into her wedding finery and she was able to attend the ceremony at Sutton Registry Office to see her beloved daughter Liane marry Steven. The day was enjoyed by all.
