Belmont House Nursing Home in Sutton marked the arrival of spring with a vibrant celebration as part of Aria in Bloom — a nationwide initiative that brings communities together to enhance the outdoor spaces of care homes.
For their first big event of the year, Belmont House went all out. Residents and team members rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into the garden, making the most of the sunshine and the opportunity to spruce up their outdoor space. From planting flowers to painting and tidying, everyone played their part in transforming the garden into a colourful and welcoming area.
Friends, families and local supporters were invited along to join the efforts — and after all the hard work was done, the day rounded off with a garden party to enjoy the refreshed surroundings. With delicious food, fantastic music, and plenty of smiles, it was a real celebration the Belmont House community.
The home also welcomed a visit from Madam Deputy Mayor, Councillor Louise Phelan, who spent time chatting with residents and hearing about life at Belmont.
The event summed up what Aria in Bloom is all about — bringing people together to enjoy time outdoors, make the most of the garden, and take pride in the place they call home.
