Beechwood Park Care Home in Alloa recently marked VE Day, a day that holds special significance for many of our residents. For those who lived through the war, it’s a time to reflect on the end of a difficult chapter in history and honour the sacrifices made.
When the scheduled entertainer had to cancel, the team improvised to make sure it was a special day, and, in true wartime spirit, they rallied everyone together, leading a heartfelt singalong in the garden.
The sun was shining and the garden was decked out in red, white and blue, and residents shared stories and laughter over tea, with scones and pastries fresh from the kitchen.
Though things didn’t go according to plan, the way everyone came together made for a truly special and spontaneous celebration!
