Beechwood Park’s Coronation Day Celebrations

Beechwood Park Care Home's residents, team, family and friends celebrating the Coronation May 2023

Residents and the team at Beechwood Park Care Home celebrated the Coronation of King Charles III by holding a garden/indoor fete.

Firstly, our residents had an enjoyable morning watching the Coronation on the TV. Then we enjoyed an afternoon tea, with one relative bringing in a homemade Battenberg cake and some scones with homemade jam for the fete!

Unfortunately, the weather was not on our side on the day, so the fete became an indoor garden fete, but this did not dampen our fun and we all had an enjoyable time!

Our residents and guests were entertained by Jimmy Mac singing, Alba Performing Arts School – Tillicoultry showcasing their dance routines and a balloon modeller from Memory Book Party Planning. There was a wonderful buffet prepared by our catering team and a raffle!

A momentous event in our history, the Coronation of King Charles III and his wife, Camilla, as king and queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. It took place on Saturday 6th May at Westminster Abbey and many of our homes organised celebrations to mark this occasion.

We would like to thank all the relatives and friends for attending our fete, it was a pleasure to celebrate with you. Also, a big thank you to our visiting entertainers. A good time was had by all.

Beechwood Park would not be what it is without the staff and support of our friends and relatives who gave our residents a fabulous day. Our Coronation Quiche was also popular with our residents!
