Last month, residents at Acacia Care Centre in South Norwood spent the morning at Deen City Farm.
Joined by members of the lifestyle team, Marta and Dot, residents Kitty, June, and Ivy visited one of their favourite places. They love spending time at the small farm, where they can see a variety of animals, including ducks, chickens, pheasants, cows, donkeys, sheep, goats, and pigs.
During their visit, the residents fed the goats and sheep, and also watched children taking part in a horse riding lesson, which made everyone smile.
Resident Ivy said, “I loved it, thank you so much for taking me on the trip.”
Resident June said, “It was such a beautiful day”
Lifestyle Lead Marta said, “It was such a brilliant outing, seeing the residents smile and enjoy themselves was wonderful. Trips like this have such a positive impact on their wellbeing.”
