Huntercombe Hall Unites for a Fun-Filled Charity Sports Day

Sporting Fun and Community Spirit at Huntercombe Hall’s Charity Sports Day

Huntercombe Hall recently hosted a lively Sports Day Party in the garden, bringing together residents, families, and team members for an afternoon filled with fun, laughter, and community spirit — all in support of the Care Workers Charity.

The event, held on the 29th of August this year, was inspired by an idea from the Home Manager and enthusiastically brought to life by the Wellbeing Team. The garden was transformed into a vibrant sports arena, with a variety of traditional games and friendly races that everyone could get involved in.

To support the fundraising efforts, there were also stalls selling ice cream, crisps, sweets, and drinks, along with a dedicated GoFundMe page for those unable to attend in person. Thanks to the generosity of families, friends, and staff, an impressive £200 was raised for this meaningful cause.

One family member, Cath, shared:

“Thank you to the activities team for an amazing event. It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying themselves.”

The day truly reflected the warmth and community spirit that defines life at Huntercombe Hall — a place where everyone comes together to create special memories while supporting worthwhile causes.
