Keeping Active and Having Fun with Monthly Moveball Sessions
At Dormy House, staying active, social and engaged is an important part of daily life — and our monthly Moveball sessions are a fantastic way to achieve just that.
Held in our main lounge once a month, these lively sessions bring residents together to enjoy gentle exercise, boost hand–eye coordination and share fond memories of favourite sports and football moments. The sessions are also a brilliant way for residents to boost confidence, spark conversations and most importantly, have fun!
The idea to introduce Moveball came about when our CRM, Liz Hockley, met Mark, the owner of Moveball, at the very first networking event hosted at the home. After a successful trial session that our residents absolutely loved, we became the very first care home to welcome Moveball on a regular basis — and it’s been a hit ever since.
“Our sessions with Mark and the Moveball team have quickly become a favourite amongst our residents. Mark is very calm, friendly and knowledgeable. He makes our residents feel great about their achievements, and really encourages them to get moving and participate in the activity.”

These monthly visits are now a much-anticipated date in our activities calendar, reflecting our commitment to supporting residents’ physical wellbeing while creating joyful, shared experiences.
