A Summer Fete to Remember at Huntercombe Hall
On Saturday 9th August 2025, the gardens of Huntercombe Hall were transformed into a vibrant circus-themed celebration, as residents, families, friends and members of the local community gathered for the home’s eagerly awaited Summer Fete.
Following the success of last year’s event, there was much excitement for its return, and this year’s fete once again brought together joy, laughter and a strong sense of community spirit.
The day was thoughtfully organised by Wellbeing Coordinator Delfina, with wonderful support from new team member Millie and the dedicated Huntercombe Hall team. Together, they created a truly memorable afternoon filled with activities and entertainment. Guests enjoyed delicious food and refreshments, from a barbeque and ice cream stand to popcorn and drinks, while younger visitors revelled in the face painting stand. Residents proudly showcased their creativity with jewellery, arts and crafts stalls, adding a personal touch to the day.
The lively atmosphere was complemented by a talented saxophone player and, in true circus style, a performer who delighted the crowds with a series of exciting acts. A raffle and tombola, kindly supported by generous donations from families and the community, added to the festivities and helped raise further cheer.
Most importantly, the fete created special moments for the residents, who enjoyed celebrating with their loved ones in the sunshine. As one friend of Huntercombe Hall, Natalie, shared: “The event is very well organised and very nice to see all the residents enjoying themselves.”
The Summer Fete was not only a day of fun and entertainment, but also a wonderful reflection of the warm and welcoming spirit that defines Huntercombe Hall – a home where life is celebrated, and community bonds are cherished.
