Community Spirit Shines at Brook House’s Fundraising Event

Brook House Residents and Families Come Together for Marie Curie

Last month, Brook House brought everyone together for a truly memorable fundraising Sports Day in support of the incredible charity, Marie Curie.

The sun shone on a day filled with laughter, friendly competition, and a wonderful sense of togetherness. Residents, relatives, friends and team members all joined in the spirit of the occasion, cheering one another on and embracing the fun. The afternoon began with a fantastic live performance from Mindi, which set the tone for what was to come. A raffle followed, before the main event took centre stage – our very own Sports Day races!

From the classic egg and spoon race to the energetic sack race, the tug of war challenge, and even a very lively wet sponge throw, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The smiles and cheers echoed throughout the day, creating an atmosphere of joy and celebration.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, contributed and supported us – whether by competing, cheering, or helping to organise. Thanks to this wonderful collective effort, we not only raised valuable funds for Marie Curie, but also created lasting memories that our community will treasure.

At Brook House, events like these reflect the heart of what we do – bringing people together, sharing laughter, and strengthening the bonds that make our home such a special place to live and work.
