Welcome to Magna
Magna Care Centre is situated in a quiet location just to the south of Wimborne Minster, within a short drive of both Poole and Bournemouth.
Standing in over five acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, complete with water features, statues and exotic plants, it’s a great place for residents to take a stroll, enjoy an afternoon tea, or receive visiting family and friends. Following a recent refurbishment, our day spaces and bedrooms have been transformed throughout the home with a fresh new look.
Life at Magna truly embodies the spirit of community. We take great pride in fostering a relaxed and joy-filled environment. Our residents and their families are at the heart of everything we do, ensuring we create a space that feels like a home from home. This dedication to our community’s wellbeing makes Magna a place where warmth and care flourish.
The Magna community cherishes its beautiful grounds, actively engaging in gardening and making the most of shared knowledge among residents. Every year we produce our own fruits, vegetables and herbs which are used in the Magna kitchen. We also grow our own flowers from seed, decorating the grounds.

Caring from the heart means just that, in every action you take, in every delivery of care, in every conversation you have ensuring that you are giving your whole self in a true, empathetic and honest manner. This creates a trustful and respectful bond between relatives, residents and me. Recognising that each resident has a unique style of how they want to be cared for and interacted with, we believe when you care from the heart you are able to adapt your style to deliver a person-centred approach that leaves the resident feeling uplifted and seen as an individual.

We love learning as much as we can about who we care for, so your loved one’s time is tailored to their individual need and interests. This can be as small as knowing when they like to wake up, how they like their tea, and everything about their daily routine. Our team take the time to get to know all our residents and encourage independence and communication.
We are dedicated to providing a smooth transition into a home where care is from the heart and interaction with residents is paramount. Our residents show us the way. They tell us what they need, and we do our very best to deliver. Every element of our care is considered with their needs in mind. Meet the Manager
Kayleigh is our Home Manager at Magna Care Centre, here’s a little bit more about herself and the home in her own words:
“I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of residential and nursing care for our residents with varying needs. During my early career, I gained a breadth of medical knowledge, including intensive, elderly and stroke care. With over 9 years working at Magna Care Centre as a Registered Nurse and then as Deputy Manager I bring experience and knowledge of the residents, families and local community to my role.
I am passionate about ensuring residents have dignified and respectful care and enriching their lives with social interaction. If I can make a difference to just one person a day it makes my job worthwhile.
Magna is a relaxed home-from-home. The calm and welcoming atmosphere is down to the fantastic caring team that supports me. Nothing is ever too much and they are always ready to go the extra mile when needed, an absolute credit to me, our home and company.”

With over 30 years of experience leading the wellbeing team, I am responsible for enhancing the lives of our residents by maintaining quality, care and dignity. Knowing that I can bring joy to others, with the in-depth person-centred activities daily is a joy in itself for me.
Debbie Vincent
Receptionist
I take great pride in my role as receptionist, it really makes my heart smile. I love meeting families and residents and building relationships. I have progressed through various roles at Magna which has given me a great understanding of how we can support our residents in the best possible way.
