Residents and team members at Beechwood Park Care Home in Alloa recently enjoyed a fantastic day out at Rowhead Farm, where they met a variety of animals including alpacas, goats, Shetland ponies, and even some curious rheas.
Organised by Deputy Manager Cheryl, the outing was made even more enjoyable with Medical Officer Harry behind the wheel, driving the mini-bus along a scenic route to the stunning countryside farm.
A highlight of the day came when Resident Lavina was given a rhea egg to bring back to the home. She was amazed at its size and weight. Resident Rolly joked, “I wonder how big an omelette that would make!”
Jean had a special moment with the baby goats, thoroughly enjoying a snuggle. Smiling ear to ear, she said, “I want to take one home!”
Another wonderful day spent with animals, one of the residents’ favourite activities, thanks to Cheryl and the Beechwood team.
