Last month, the team at Dormy House Care Home in Sunningdale granted the first wish from their newly launched wishing tree.
Introduced to encourage the residents to share what they’ve always wanted to do or experience, the team will pick one wish per month and add activities every other month, giving them the opportunity to add more wishes.
The first wish came from resident Michelle, who wanted to meet a German Shepherd. The team reached out to the local community and found Gemma, who generously offered to bring in her German Shepherd, Holly, for a special visit.
Community Relations Manager Liz said, “It was incredibly rewarding to be able to fulfill Michelle’s wish and we were so grateful to Gemma for taking the time to help us.”
