Walstead Place Care Home celebrated National Picnic Week with their very own Teddy Bear’s Picnic. After a decade since National Picnic Week was founded, it has grown in popularity and called for the bears to come out and join the team at Walstead Place.
It aims to encourage people to take the opportunity to get together, share food and drink and enjoy the local area. Picnicking is one of the UK’s most enjoyable summer traditions and is a great way to take advantage of open spaces.
The residents and staff at Walstead Place loved selecting their favourite teddies and taking them into the wonderfully beautiful grounds of the home to enjoy a delicious picnic. The catering team put together some lovely picnic boxes for each of our residents to enjoy. It was a wonderful afternoon, the sun was shining and our residents had a great time!
