Lunch and crafting for Walstead Place residents at local Garden Nursery!

Two female elderly residents of Walstead Place Care Home, enjoying their craft session

Staff and residents at Walstead Place, took some time out in the community and got creative for the afternoon! Arts and crafts activities are a great way to keep hands and minds occupied, as well as providing an outlet for your creative side.

It is also great for our residents to venture outdoors and go on day trips again, as this is a great way to socialise with other residents, stay mobile with a gentle walk, get some fresh air and have a change of scene.

Our residents were delighted with the trip to local Allwoods Nursery in Hassocks, where they enjoyed a lovely lunch before getting involved in a crafting activity for the afternoon. We would like to extend a massive thank you to everyone at Allwoods Nursery for hosting and providing this interesting event for our residents – they loved it!

Walstead Place has 43 bedrooms, with several of them enjoying views over the delightful, landscaped gardens and the picturesque countryside that surrounds the home. The home provides residential care on a permanent or short stay basis.
