The residents and whole team at The Boynes Care Centre in Upton-upon-Severn came together and rolled up their sleeves to get involved in their first Aria in Bloom campaign to spruce up their outdoor spaces in time for summer, making the most of the lovely recent weather, they made the most of their time with nurses planting herbs and the kitchen team cutting and picking their amazing fruit, vegetables and herbs to cook with, as well as tidying up the flower beds and removing unwanted weeds. The residents loved their time outside in the fresh air watering the plants and flowers and had a lot of suggestions of flowers and herbs to plant many of which had strong fragrances so they can become emersed in the garden and enjoy the spaces as they grow and blossom over the coming months.
The home also had help from a local garden therapist who has been spending time getting to know the residents and exploring the hobbies they love to do and what can be achieved in the garden to support them to carry on doing what they love.
The lifestyle team at the home commented “it was lovely to see everyone coming together and the results of everyone’s hard work and we look forward to spending more time in the garden and watching everything bloom.
