Local school pupil designs Home of Compassion Christmas card

Local school pupil's card design showing a Christmas tree scene

Home of Compassion Care Home in Thames Ditton, are delighted that a design by local school pupil Talia is being used for the home’s Christmas card this year.

The Weston Green School pupil, Talia entered the Christmas card competition at the home and was selected as the winner based on her wonderfully festive Christmas tree design. The card which includes a tree and snow scene has been professionally printed on a card to be sent out to friends and family as well as stakeholders and community contacts.

Home of Compassion was one of many homes who participated in the Christmas card competition again this year, where homes were given the opportunity to design and print their own card with residents, relatives and community groups all getting involved.

Head of Marketing Emma Clarke said, “Our homes really enjoyed getting involved in designing their own Christmas cards last year and we decided to run the competition again this year. We have had some amazing designs again from residents, relatives, local school children and community groups.

“Christmas is an amazing time of year within our homes with so much happening. The festive season, with its familiar sights, sounds and smells, evokes a lot of happy memories for our residents.”
