From Friday, 1st March, Home of Compassion, which is situated on the banks of the River Thames, will be known as ‘Thames View (an Aria Care Community).’
The renaming marks a new chapter for the home, a grade II listed building dating back to the 18th century, which is at the heart of the Thames Ditton community with stunning views of the river.
Lovingly restored over a decade ago, the building was transformed into a luxurious care home providing exceptional care and a welcoming and engaging environment for its residents and the local community.
Paul Fenech, home manager at Home of Compassion, said: “We are so excited for this new chapter. We are in such a beautiful location, right on the banks of the River Thames, and both colleagues and residents alike love to sit out and admire the views.
“The name ‘Thames View’ feels much more reflective of life at the home and although the name might change, the hearts are still the same.”
To mark the renaming, a special afternoon tea will be held for residents and their families at the home on Friday, 1st March, before it hosts a cheese and wine evening on Thursday, 7th March for members of the community to which everyone is welcome.
Ruth Yates, managing director of operations at Aria Care, said: “As we embark on this exciting new chapter, our exceptional person-centred care, hospitality and lifestyle offering continues to place our residents at the heart of everything we do and Thames View will continue to be a symbol of unparalleled care, timeless elegance, and gracious living.
“We look forward to continuing to develop our relationships in the local community, working together to provide support in the Thames Ditton area.”
