The residents and team at Sundridge Court Nursing Home in Bromley held their first Aria Care Coffee Club. They welcomed the local community and had a very special visit from the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress to celebrate the event.
This regular event is great for likeminded people from around the community to get together and make friends, take part in social activities and discuss local issues, whilst enjoying a cuppa!
Everyone was treated to a range of delicious cakes, tea and coffee. Plus on arrival witnessed a mystifying trick as entertainment, using a glass and cutlery.
As we ate cake, this gave us the chance to chat. We discussed how essential it is that people in the local area do not feel isolated.
We plan to make this an ongoing event. We hope to involve other care professionals from the local area in the future.
It is fair to say our first event was a great success and we look forward to seeing everyone at our next one for more cake, coffee and chat!
