In the days leading up to St George’s Day the residents at Stowford House Care Home in Abingdon rolled up their sleeves and got crafty preparing beautiful arts and crafts themed around the legendary story of St George, the home came alive with creativity and excitement as they worked together on a range of decorations from bold and brave shields, to delicate roses, every creation was a joyful tribute to the special day.
Arts and crafts is popular amongst the residents as they get to show their creative side and enjoy some social time together sharing their stories.
With the decorations on display on the actual day as everyone celebrated together the day was made even more magical by a visit from Alan the saxophonist, his soulful tunes filled the room, bringing everyone together in a moment of music, laughter and connection. Everywhere you looked the vibrant white and red St George’s flag brought the spirit of the celebration to life and traditions.
