A Meaningful Morning of Faith and Fellowship at Stowford House

Strengthening Community Through Shared Worship

At Stowford House, creating meaningful moments that nurture both heart and mind is at the centre of daily life. Recently, residents were delighted to welcome Maggie, Vicar of Shippon, who led a heartfelt service within the home.

The gathering offered a special time of prayer and reflection for residents, families and team members alike — a moment of togetherness and quiet reflection that beautifully presented the home’s warm and inclusive community spirit. For many, it was an opportunity to reconnect with cherished traditions and to share in something deeply personal and uplifting.

Following the service, Maggie generously spent time chatting with residents, listening to their stories and sharing conversation. She also visited residents in their rooms to offer one-to-one time and Holy Communion, ensuring that everyone who wished to take part felt included and valued. This thoughtful gesture meant a great deal to many, particularly Pam, who had been an active member of her church before moving to Stowford House. Her faith and sense of community have always been important to her, and being able to continue those connections in her new home was truly meaningful.

At Aria Care, supporting wellbeing goes beyond physical care; it embraces emotional and spiritual fulfilment too. Residents at Stowford House have shared how important spirituality is in nurturing both body and mind, and the team are therefore pleased to be introducing a monthly service for all who wish to attend.

Everyone at the home looks forward to welcoming Maggie back next month, continuing a partnership that enriches lives and strengthens the sense of belonging that makes Stowford House such a special place to call home.
