Raising a Cup for Macmillan: Southborough’s Coffee Morning Success

Southborough Marks Macmillan Coffee Morning with Music, Good Company and Generosity

Southborough Nursing Home welcomed the families and friends of our residents for a special afternoon in support of Macmillan Cancer Support, joining people across the country for the charity’s annual coffee morning.

The event featured a lively performance from much-loved entertainer Jamie Steen, whose mix of music and humour brought plenty of smiles to the room. Adding to the occasion, our kitchen team, Libu and Rose, prepared an inviting selection of homemade cakes and bakes, which were enjoyed by all who attended.

The spirit of togetherness imbued the occasion, with some residents and guests unable to resist the opportunity to dance. Lively conversation also marked the occasion, with Juliette noting how much she valued the chance to take part in such a meaningful event. Barbara, who has supported Macmillan for many years, spoke warmly about spending time with friends, while contributing to a cause that remains close to her heart.

The afternoon was a reminder of what can be achieved when people come together. We extend our thanks to everyone who supported the event and helped raise funds for Macmillan’s vital work in providing care and guidance for those living with cancer.
