The residents and team at Scoonie House Care Home celebrated Care Home Open Week throughout their week with a Coffee and Crochet Afternoon, Bingo Lunch and their very own Bake-Off Event.
We started the week with a fantastic afternoon of coffee and crochet, which our residents thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you to Senga and Will for the crochet lessons.
Mid-week we had our ‘let’s do lunch with bingo’. Again everyone who joined us had a brilliant afternoon of fun and we wish to thank our chef for making us a wonderful lunch.
We ended our celebration week with our own version of Bake Off. Many wonderful bakes were on display to be judged and all our team, residents and family members who got involved should be extremely proud of what was produced. During this event we enjoyed a visit from our local MP Wendy Chamberlain.
At Aria Care we are honoured to be a Founding Patron of Championing Social Care and are actively supporting and participating in this year’s Care Home Open Week, an initiative that connects communities and delivers a positive impact in the social care sector.
Caroline Roberts, CEO, Aria Care, shares, “We are thrilled to be a Founder Patron for Championing Social Care, and to further our ongoing commitment to supporting the social care sector.
“We firmly believe that everyone should have access to high-quality care, and we are dedicated to supporting the sector in improving standards and promoting well-being. Our participation in initiatives like Championing Social Care is a testament to this commitment.
“Our goal is to leave a lasting impact that will benefit future generations by advocating for the benefits of pursuing a career in the care sector.
“Working in care is not just a job, it’s a calling. It requires compassion, dedication, and a true desire to make a difference in the lives of others. Raising awareness about the rewards of a career in care can help attract more people to this fulfilling sector, where they can find purpose in helping others and making a positive impact on society”.
