Positive CQC inspection finds Riverside Place to show “genuine kindness”

Riverside Place Care Home Good CQC

Our residents and care team at Riverside Place Care Home are celebrating after receiving ‘Good’ in all areas of the home’s latest Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection, with all people interviewed stating “they felt safe with no worries”.

Based in Ware, Riverside Place provides residential, dementia, nursing and palliative care, and received its latest unannounced inspection earlier this month.

Residents and their relatives told inspectors they were provided with kind and compassionate care, with one person commenting: “All the staff make my [family member] feel not only comfortable, but special to them.” Another relative commented: “They show him genuine kindness and concern and interest in his past life.”

Following our previous CQC inspection, Riverside Place home manager Edwin Cabagui has worked hard to make many improvements, including to staffing and recruitment and risk assessment processes.

He said: “Providing consistent, quality care to our residents is vital and we are so pleased this has been reflected in our latest CQC inspection. We are always looking to improve and develop, listening to our residents and their families is something we will continue to do to ensure this can happen.

“Thank you to our care team, and the wider team, for their dedication and support during such tough times for the care sector. We will definitely be taking the time to celebrate this fantastic news with everyone in the home.”
