At Riverside Place Care Home in Ware, our residents recently gathered in our Orangery to enjoy a lovely afternoon of tea and cakes. Our colleagues brought out our beautiful vintage China collection and put together a traditional display of cake stands and crockery.
Our residents had a wonderful afternoon, enjoying the delicious selection of strawberry shortcakes, fondant fancies and jam tarts, while they reminisced and chatted away about how much better tea tastes from proper china and which cakes were their favourites.
One of our residents, Milly, said “that was a really lovely afternoon spent with great company!”
