Rendlesham Care Centre in Rendlesham received an early Christmas present after it was awarded the ‘gold’ prize in Aria Care’s inaugural Christmas card competition thanks to the festive artwork of a local schoolboy.
Rendlesham was named the winner for its card designed by 11-year-old Jack Cresswell from Farlingaye High School.
Jack’s design was one of 44 entries submitted by Aria’s care homes across the country.
Cosmin Tiriteu, home manager at Rendlesham said: “We are so proud of Jack for his fantastic design and are delighted to be named the winner of this competition.
“Jack’s design had all the elements of a festive classic and we are thrilled to be able to share this victory with him.”
The team at Rendlesham hosted their own Christmas card competition this year and received 25 entries.
Jack’s card was chosen as the winner by Cosmin, a resident and a family member, all of whom agreed it was their festive favourite.
His brilliant design will now be featured on Aria’s Christmas cards this year and Rendlesham will also receive an enlarged copy of the design to showcase proudly in the home.
