Nothing brings more joy to us at Rendlesham Care Centre, than animals, and especially dogs! When recently asked about their wishes our residents said they would love to walk a dog in the garden.
Our Wellbeing Team acted on this and set up activities based around Crufts. Not only did we watch the show, we had Kiki the pug come in for the day. Kiki had a wonderful day hosting a ‘Crufts Quiz’, being groomed, being walked in the gardens and going into the residents rooms to say ‘Hello’.
Our Sous Chef Christine made some amazing bone shaped biscuits in time for afternoon tea and to watch the opening of Crufts. The following day Christine brought in her very clever dog and showed us some tricks (including how she can ‘high five’) and also showed us all the amazing rosettes she had won.
A wonderful few days was had by all.
