During October those living at our community in Moorlands Care Home, along with their families and friends participated in a Christmas card design competition.
We received many entries from our residents and their family members, so we invited the Mayor of Camberley to come to our Cheese and Wine afternoon to pick the winning design.
Activity-based care is a key ingredient for our residents to feel engaged and helps socialisation within the home. Arts and crafts activities are a great way to keep hands and minds occupied, as well as providing an outlet for your creative side. Our residents love getting creative, and everyone enjoyed getting involved in the competition!
It was wonderful to have the local Mayor join us and visit with our residents. She had a difficult decision to make, but in the end the card design chosen as winner at Moorlands was drawn and coloured in by our resident Rita Sanderson.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Christmas card design competition, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Moorlands over the festive period.
Moorlands has 40 bedrooms, beautifully landscaped gardens, with some of the rooms overlooking the gardens. The home provides specialist residential and nursing care on a permanent or short stay basis.
